WOW GOLD METHODS

Some of ways to get wow gold are legitimate, others are under-the-table crooked. Personally, I like to
make an honest world of warcraft gold coin. Ripping off other players is not my game, BUT, I’m here to deliver you the information. Even if you are an honest player, knowing this info is good because it will keep you on guard against the shadow players that like to scam you for a quick wow gold.

METHOD ONE: The AH Dupe

METHOD TWO: AH Monopoly

The AH Dupe: A Crooked way to Gain World of Warcraft Gold

“A fool and his money are soon parted.”

With so many pockets running around the game, it is very possible to scam others out of their money. Not everyone is financially bright, and these methods take advantage of that. First of all, don’t be stupid and use your main to do these. Get a mule (a different character), or even better yet, a mule on a completely separate account, to mask your actions.

This works. Plain and simple. It takes advantage of human psychology of repetition. And it can get you a very rapid 100 wow gold.

What it is:

The AH Dupe tries to ‘trick’ an auction buyer who is making a BUY-OUT purchase of a routine item that normally sells for X amount of silver, into purchasing it for X amount of wow gold. the AH dupe uses monotony to lull the purchaser into repetitious clicking, causing them to pay less attention to what they are buying, and inadvertently purchasing the item for wow gold instead of silver.

How it works:

Have you ever driven a car at night, staring at the white lines zooming by on the road, and suddenly realize that 5 minutes have gone by (or longer) and you have no idea how you were able drive? You dont have a clue what cars have or have not been around you, because you totally spaced out. Your subconscious mind went into ‘auto-pilot’ and you safely drove your car.
This is called ‘being human’. Anyone exposed to repeated, repetitious stimuli is subject to losing their ability to distinguish one from another. Can happen to anyone…including a WoW auction buyer.

Look at this list:

The auction buyer sees a bunch of useful consumables (such as stacks of 20 light feathers, or stacks of silk cloths, or free action potions, etc. Anything that is popular with players). he sees a big list in the AH of these stacks, and they are going for the normal buy-out rate. He starts purchasing them like he always does. One after another, clicking through each screen. He doesn’t really notice that one says ‘88 gold’ instead of ‘88 silver’ so he clicks it anyway.

What you need to do:

Sell at least 6 or more IDENTICAL items on the AH. Make them for the normal going rate (not cheaper or you could stand to lose money). Put them up back to back in one long list. The buyout on the fifth item is gold instead of silver. Everything else must be identical. There is a chance that the buyer will get ‘caught’ in your scam. Its not guaranteed, but there are always dummies around that will be duped. This is a scam, and everyone who buys frequently from the AH is susceptible to it.

Yes it does work. Numerous people have posted long rants on the official boards being scammed like this.

METHOD TWO: Monopolize the AH

I’m just going to quote a post from the official boards that explains this rather nicely. This post is no longer on the forums (they remove posts after a certain amount of days), so I cannot link it,and didn’t get the name of the person that wrote it. Fortunately, I did copy it the day I read it, so its not mine, but here it is- it outlines perfectly how to make a fortune by monopolizing the Auction House. Read on:

I cancelled my account a while back for reasons there’s no point in disclosing, so I figured I’d tell everyone how they can be financially secure forever like I was.

I had about five active alts and a main which I kept equipment and skills up to date by the level and had enough cash on me to afford my mount by level 25 with all my alts having about 15 wow gold on them at any point in time.

I see so many people talking about how they’re level 40-45 and still can’t afford their mount and blah blah blah, it’s funny. These are the same people who ironically state, “Stay away from the auction house!” or you won’t make any money.

Go ahead and go to the AH. It’s as simple as buy low, sell high. Just like in the real world! Yet it feels almost as if it’s this big secret.

All I did was make level five newbie, sit him at the auction house and log on maybe once or twice a day to bid on stuff and check mail. Took probably five minutes to do each session.

Find a product you want to do and see what the average buyout price is. Then bid on auctions ending in Short and Medium (as there’s usually little point in bidding on Long unless you wanna collect all your outbids later), for as little as you can. Buyout other auctions for significantly less than your Buyout. Bid on any good that’s normally sold by itself that is stacked for a super discount. A good example is Black Pearls. Normally people buy one. Every once in a while some guy sells a stack of 16 for only like 10 world of warcraft gold. Usually only takes 1 bid to win it!

The only “hard” part is keeping up with market price trends, but after a while, you won’t even have to write them down anymore as you’ll be able to memorize them effortlessly with practice and the prices don’t fluctuate too drastically.

For the super lazy, here was my excel sheet of the market demand of Silver Hand a few weeks ago. Prices will vary on your server. (more…)

I found that a lot of the addons for WoW are supposed to be Mac compatible, but I believe the problem is that most files downloaded are zip format that Mac OS X’s native decompression engine doesn’t handle cleanly, which will cause the attempt to fail. So, here’s what should remedy the situation.

If you goto http://www.macobserver.com/

then scroll down there will be a link to download Aladdin’s StuffIt Expander utility, which works the same as WinZip or whatever that program is called. This will enable most Ziped files to be expanded just like Winzip is supposed to do, then you just drag the addon into the ..worldofwarcraft/interface/addons file. Also, the person who wrote the information on this webpage is a Mac user playing WoW, and the addon that he uses is CTMod. Now, I’m currently working on getting this addon to work on my Mac, and hopefully, here shorlty to be exact, I will have this addon working fo my Mac version of WoW.

Ok, I got this addon, CTMod to work, but I didn’t use the Stuffit Expander like the website I referred to said. Here is what I did… ..

I downloaded CT_Core from http://www.ctmod.net/downloads.ct
Once the file was downloaded, I gutted the file by moveing the file’s content to ..worldofwarcraft/interface/addons

Once I did that I opened up the game, jumped on, and sure enough the addon had worked. I knew it had because the litlte “CT” icon was next to my Minimap (right by the zoom buttons). This addon can be slightly confuseing, especialy to someone who has almost no clue what it can do (like myself). I was just happy that I got the addon to work, and I’m going to play around iwth it (I already have some).
I believe this method can work with most other addons, although some do require that you take out the Blizzard addons that come stock with the game. The CT addon that I have I know doesnt require you to gut the addon file, all I had to do was copy the contents of the CT_Core file to my addon file and I got it to work..

After 2 months of playing without any type of wow addon, let me say I’m pretty excited of seeing what this will do, since I’ve heard so much about the advantages. I hope this will help other Mac users who skim this site

1. It’s really easy and should be done right from the start of the game. Grab the 2 primary professions, mining and skinning. While you’re out leveling yourself you can easily skin the animals. You’re bound to eventually enter a mine which will have many minerals. Be sure to mine those ores. You can easily sell off the extra items to merchants or players.

2. Make sure you grab quests every chance you get. You can easily gain additional exp, gold, items and faction while you’re leveling. You may even complete some of your quests with out even knowing because they normally require you to kill off mobs or require you to travel/speak to other NPCs. The quests of World of Warcraft are more player friendly than other MMORPGs.

3. Don’t spend any money buying World of Warcraft items, equipments and other accessories early in the game. Low level characters from 1-40 are not gear dependent. Along with that fact, you’ll get a nice load of items from just completing quests.

4. While you’re out leveling, there are certain monsters that has better drops than others. An example would be humanoids. They tend to drop more gold and items than any other creatures in the World of Azeroth.

A World of Warcraft Mod or Mods is short for modification. So when looking at what a World of Warcraft mod is, you could say that it would be a third-party addition that alters or enhances some aspect of World of Warcraft’s interface. Mods can perform a wide variety of tasks, including adding new buttons to the screen, altering the built-in player and party frames or automating certain aspects of spell casting. In some cases, mods can completely supplement the standard World of Warcraft interface usually offering more advanced functionality.

An few examples of mods for World of Warcraft would be:

ModBlah - It provides other people an automated way to find out which enchants you currently have, what those enchants do, and optionally which reagents are required for a particular recipe.

CleanShot - CleanShot is an addon that lets you take a clean screenshot. It removes as many user interface features as possible so that only the bare scene is left.

Benecast - Benecast provides a row of healing and buff icons for yourself, party members and other friendly targets to facilitate casting buffs and heals. You can set it up to cast lower-level heals based on the amount of HP that needs to be restored for a given target. This can save a considerable amount of valuable mana since it reduces the number of “overheals” that are made. You can also configure which buffs to display as well as specifying “overheal” settings, etc. An absolutely vital tool for healers.

Traveling Around World of Warcraft

Modes of travel in World of Warcraft cover everything from a characters own two feet to soaring eagles. Knowing what the best way to get around can save you time and money, and make you a more effective and efficient member of your guild.

Hop, Skip and a Jump

Getting around on foot is safest if you stick to main roads where the chance for random monster attack is greatly reduced. Main roads also have signs at most intersections to point a player in the right direction. However, to chart new areas on the map, a character has to venture off the beaten path towards a nearby landmark. This can be dangerous if they don’t know what level of monsters are hiding in the surrounding territory. Be wary!

Getting around town is very easy despite the huge size of the capital cities. Any guard will be able to provide directions to trainers, auction houses, mailboxes, item vendors and other such necessities, and will even place a flag on the mini-map to guide you in the right direction. A small golden arrow will also point towards the goal if they are not in the immediate area.

There are other options for crossing the landscape of course. Druids can take on animal forms that allow them to travel faster. Alchemists can create potions that grant a temporary speed boost, while Mages can cast spells that accomplish the same. Mages and Shaman can also teleport other characters around, which is really handy for raid quests crawling deep into dungeons, which can take upwards of two hours.

Once a character reaches level 40, they can purchase land mounts, which allow them to cover distance a lot faster. Each race has its own native mount. Dwarves ride around on mountain rams, while humans get horses and trolls get raptors. Characters need to learn the riding skill for their respective mount by speaking with a local stable master, which are located in major cities and small towns. At level 60, a character can buy advanced mounts that will get them around even faster.

It is possible to walk to just about any location in world of warcraft, and for the first 15 or 20 levels, most of your questing will be confined to a single province or its neighbor. But given how large the world is, a more expedient method will be desired as your tasks begin to span the continent. One this point is reach having detailed maps of World of Warcraft will be paramount.

Cheats in World of Warcraft is a broad category of activities, all of which are generally regarded as modifying the game experience in a way that gives a player an unfair advantage over the other players. Different activities constitute cheats, as it is often a matter of consensus opinion.

Cheats exists in not just World of Warcraft but in all multiplayer online computer games. While there have always been cheat codes and other ways to make single player games easier, most developers attempt to prevent it in multiplayer games. With the release of the first popular Internet multiplayer games cheating took on new dimensions. Previously it was rather easy to see if the other players cheated, as most games were played on local networks or consoles. The Internet changed that by increasing the popularity of multiplayer games, giving the players anonymity, and giving people an avenue to communicate World of Warcraft cheats.

Types of World of Warcraft Cheats

User Settings - Typically a player can change settings within a game to make it suit their play style and system. These alterations are not generally not cheats, except in extreme circumstances. Changing the keyboard layout to make it easier to use is for example usually accepted. But issues such as changing in-game player models and textures, or modifying the brightness or gamma in order to make it easier to see in dark areas are sometimes borderline cheats in World of Warcraft. These are sometimes referred to as a mod or mods. Read more about World of Warcraft mods

Exploits - Usually included in this concept of cheats is the use of existing bugs or gameplay aspects unintended by the World of Warcraft developers known as exploits. Gamers are divided as to whether all exploitation is a cheat, though most consider exploits as cheats if they are particularly unfair. It is also difficult to classify some activities as exploits, because sometimes unintended features in the World of Warcraft game can make them much more fun to play. However, most exploits are unbalancing to World of Warcraft, and are called cheats because they are based on mistakes by Blizzard. For example, Duping ruins a synthetic economy and is rarely intended, and therefore is usually called a cheat.

External Software - The most unbalancing cheats in World of Warcraft usually come from external software. Either the program that runs the game is modified to allow the player to cheat, or other software is run which produces the same results. Wallhacks, aimbots, and other cheats fall into this category.

Preventing World of Warcraft Cheats

It is not be financially wise for World of Warcraft developers Blizzard to fight “cheaters” using cheats. These players using cheats bring in revenue just like normal players in the game. Gamers have speculated that this is the reason why “two boxing” is not a bannable offense in World of Warcraft. Players are often less concerned about these circumstances because it might be debatable if the actions in question are a form of a cheat. That said Blizzard has banned an untold number of players in World of Warcraft that it considered were using cheats and breaking the Terms of Service for World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is the first expansion pack for the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. It was released on January 16, 2007 at midnight in Europe, United States and Canada, and sold nearly 2.4 million copies that day, making it the fastest-selling PC game in those regions. It was available by January 17, 2007 in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Singapore as well; in total, approximately 3.5 million copies were sold across these territories in the first month of release, including 1.9 million in North America and nearly 1.6 million in Europe. It was available by February 2, 2007 in South Korea, and it was available by April 3, 2007 in the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.Availability for mainland China will be announced in the near future.

Information

New content is accessible to players without the expansion, such as items crafted with the Jewelcrafting profession and any tradeable items found in Outland.

On July 21, 2006, it was announced that Blood Elves would be able to play as Paladins, which were previously unavailable to the Horde. Similarly, the Draenei would be able to play as Shaman, previously unavailable to the Alliance.

New endgame instance raids are capped at 25 members (previous instances had a limit of 40 players).

New dungeons will have two difficulty levels: Normal and Heroic. Once a player reaches level 70 and achieves revered reputation with the affiliated faction (and purchases the heroic key for the corresponding faction), they may choose to run any Outlands instance at the Heroic difficulty. While the harder difficulty will present a much greater challenge to the group, it will also yield better rewards.

On December 13, 2006, the opening cinematic of The Burning Crusade was shown on Spike TV’s Video Game Awards and subsequently made available on the official World of Warcraft web site.

Release and signing were held at the Fry’s Electronics in Anaheim, CA. Doors opened at midnight on January 16, 2007; the programmers, artists, and other Blizzard employees were there giving their autographs.

In just 24 hours, The Burning Crusade sold over 2.4 million copies worldwide.

New playable races

Both the Alliance and the Horde have received a new playable race. These new races changed faction dynamics by providing each faction access to all player classes in the game. These races are the Draenei (who can now play Shamans) and the Blood Elves (who can now play Paladins).

New instances

There are several new instances in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Auchindoun is a “city of the dead” located in the Bone Wastes in southern Terokkar Forest. When they lived in peace, the Draenei laid their dead to rest here. When the Draenei were forced into hiding, Auchindoun became a fortress of the Bleeding Hollow Clan, which was besieged by the Alliance during their invasion of Draenor. After Draenor was transformed into Outland, elements of the Shadow Council destroyed Auchindoun and created the Bone Wastes by summoning Murmur, who is said to be the primordial essence of sound. Auchindoun is for level 64-70 players, and there are four wings: The Mana-Tombs, Auchenai Crypts, Sethekk Halls, and Shadow Labyrinth, all of them five-man instances. Auchindoun provides reputation with The Consortium and Lower City.

The Black Temple: The Temple of Karabor was the center of Draenei worship until its priests were slaughtered by demonically corrupted orcs. In the massacre’s aftermath the warlocks of the Shadow Council seized the structure and gave it a new name: the Black Temple. When the Alliance invaded Draenor after the Second War, the orc shaman Ner’zhul hastily opened several dimensional portals in order to escape. The resulting magical backlash ripped the world apart. Drawn by these portals, the pit lord Magtheridon arrived in what had come to be known as Outland and took the temple as his seat of power. His dominion over Outland remained unchallenged until the arrival of Illidan the Betrayer. The pit lord proved no match for the wielder of the Twin Blades of Azzinoth. Today Illidan occupies the temple, awaiting any and all who would challenge his rule.

The Caverns of Time lie below the Tanaris desert in southern Kalimdor. It is where Nozdormu the Timeless One, head of the Bronze Dragonflight and Dragon Aspect of Time, makes his home. The Caverns of Time is actually comprised of three instances, in which players will be able to experience significant events of Azeroth’s history and prevent them from being altered by a mysterious foe: Thrall’s escape from Durnholde Keep, Medivh’s opening of the Dark Portal, and the Battle of Mt. Hyjal. Players receive Keepers of Time reputation for defeating enemies in the Old Hillsbrad (Durnholde Keep) and Black Morass (Dark Portal) instances. The Scale of the Sands - a subfaction of the Bronze Dragonflight, led by the Prime Consort Soridormi - is the faction for the Battle of Mount Hyjal. The ability to enter requires obtaining two keys, one from killing Lady Vashj in Serpentshrine Cavern, and the other from killing Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider in the Eye of Tempest Keep.

Coilfang Reservoir is a subterranean pumping station operated by Illidan’s naga forces, sapping water from the lakes of Zangarmarsh. There are three five-man wings - Slave Pens, The Underbog, and Steamvault - and a 25-man raid called Serpentshrine Cavern, which serves as the inner sanctum of Lady Vashj, matron of Illidan’s naga. Coilfang provides reputation with the Cenarion Expedition, at the Cenarion Refuge east of Coilfang.

Gruul’s Lair is the domain of the Gronn overlord known as Gruul the Dragonkiller in Blade’s Edge Mountains. It is a 25-man raid, consisting of two encounters - the Ogre Council of High King Maulgar, and Gruul himself.

Hellfire Citadel was formerly an Orc fortress, and housed the warriors of the Shattered Hand, Bonechewer, Laughing Skull and Shadowmoon clans. More recently, Illidan has converted it to his own uses, and is breeding an army of Fel Orcs within its walls. There are three 5-man instance wings - Hellfire Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Shattered Halls - and one 25-man raid, Magtheridon’s Lair. Magtheridon’s Lair is an Onyxia’s Lair-style “quickie” raid, killing a handful of guards before taking on Magtheridon himself. Hellfire Citadel provides reputation with the two outposts in Hellfire: Honor Hold for the Alliance, and Thrallmar for the Horde.

Karazhan is a solitary tower in Deadwind Pass. Having existed for some time, it was best known as the sanctum of Medivh, Guardian of Tirisfal. After Medivh’s death, the tower was abandoned, but the powerful nexus of ley energies beneath the tower remain…as well as the myriad of treasures accrued by the powerful wizard. Karazhan is a 10-man raid instance, and provides reputation with a subsect of Dalaran known as the Violet Eye - which was founded to spy on Medivh and his activities.

Tempest Keep was created by the Naaru to serve as both a fortress and a means of transportation. However, after arriving in Outland and leaving the keep, Prince Kael’thas and his blood elves stormed in and took over. It now serves as the Prince’s base of operations in Outland. There are 3 level 70 5-man instance wings and a 25-man raid. The 5-man wings are the satellite structures of the Keep: The Botanica (blue), Mechanar (white) and Arcatraz (red). The central keep, known as the Eye, is the raid instance, and is the inner sanctum of Prince Kael’thas himself. The Tempest Key is required to enter the Eye, and it requires heroic-level instance quests to obtain it. Tempest Keep provides reputation with the Sha’tar in Shattrath City.

The Basics :

Your [World of Warcraft] directory is where your game was installed, and where your WoW.exe program file is located. For some people this will be :

C:\ProgramFiles\World of Warcraft

For others it could be :

C:\World of Warcraft

or even

D:\WoW

It all depends on where you installed the game in the first place.

The [World of Warcraft] base game directory should contain a folder called Interface. And the Interface folder should contain a folder called AddOns So you should have a [World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns folder

e.g.

C:\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns

These folders should all exist by default, as Blizzard include some AddOn files of their own since one of the patches in 2006 - If they don’t exist then you can create them (or the game itself should create them when you log in - in other words, if you have just logged out of the game, and do NOT see the \Interface\AddOns folders, then you are looking in the wrong place.

NOTE Just to be absolutely crystal clear; If you installed the game in D:\WoW, then creating another folder structure called C:\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns and installing AddOns there will do nothing for you. You MUST install AddOns to the D:\WoW\Interface\AddOns folder.

Installing an AddOn

Lets try and show some Examples :

EXAMPLE 1

An AddOn called “Wibbly”

This AddOn just contains 3 files :

Wibbly.toc

Wibbly.xml

Wibbly.lua

Most authors will ZIP up their files in to an archive, or use some other tool such as RAR. A few will create Executables that will self-extract (although I personally frown on this practice as un-safe). The author of Wibbly has created a Zip file with the following files AND directory structure :

\Wibbly\Wibbly.toc

\Wibbly\Wibbly.xml

\Wibbly\Wibbly.lua

You can not simply place the Zip file in the \Interface\AddOns folder - you MUST extract the above files IN their original file structure in to the \Interface\AddOns folder. So when you look in Windows Explorer, you should see the following :

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wibbly\Wibbly.toc

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wibbly\Wibbly.xml

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wibbly\Wibbly.lua

Be careful you don’t have software installed that lets you explore Zip files within Windows Explorer as if they were normal folders, which might fool you in to thinking the AddOn has been unpacked correctly; So make sure you are Un-Zipping in to the [World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns directory, and not just copying the Zip file.

EXAMPLE 2

Some authors will INCLUDE the \Interface\AddOns folders within their Zip files.

So for example, some author has created an AddOn called “Wobbly” in the following Zip file with the following directory structure :

\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.toc

\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.xml

\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.lua

\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Graphics\WobblyIcon.blp

Because the Author has included the \Interface\AddOns folders within his archive, then the user needs to be careful to un-pack the AddOn DIRECTLY IN TO THE [World of Warcraft] directory, and NOT in to the [World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns directory.

(Note that in this example the author has also included sub-folders within his own AddOn directory - in this case he has specified a spearate directory to contain graphics files which are usually .blp or .tga files. You must retain this folder structure when you install an AddOn, otherwise it won’t be able to find some of its files and will probably not work. For example, if you did not keep the Gaphics folder above in its correct place, then the AddOn may seem to work, but it would be unable to find the WobblyIcon.blp picture and you would probably just see a green square instead of what the author intended you to see.)

Common Mistakes of the Absolute Beginner

For example if you were do download the “Wobbly” AddOn mentioned above, then the following directory structures are WRONG :

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.toc, etc.

-this is wrong because the \Interface\AddOns folder included in the AddOn zip file, has been unzipped in to the \Interface\AddOns folder again.

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly.zip

-this is wrong because the Zip file has simply been copied in to the \Interface\AddOns folder instead of being properly un-zipped.

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly.toc, etc.

-this is wrong because the Wobbly AddOn files have been extracted directly in to the \Interface\AddOns folder; i.e. the Wobbly.toc file should be in a folder called \Wobbly.

NOTE : In all three cases above, the “AddOns” Button in the character Log In screen would NOT be shown, because the AddOn was not installed correctly. Only when some custom AddOns have been CORRECTLY installed does the AddOn Button show up. (The existance of the Blizzard AddOn files and the \Interface\AddOns folder will not cause the AddOn Button to be displayed on the log in screen.)

The CORRECT file & folder structure for the Wobbly AddOn is as follows :

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.toc

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.xml

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Wobbly.lua

[World of Warcraft]\Interface\AddOns\Wobbly\Graphics\WobblyIcon.blp

8. In that window check the box that says Load Out of Date AddOns.
9. Where it says the MB it uses, usually says 64 for default, change it to 0 so it uses as much as it needs.
10. Click Okay at the bottom and go on your character.
11. Learn to use your wow addons.

I hope this guide helps. And if you could CURSE REPRESENTATIVES please make this sticky so everyone can see it. I appreciate it.
